Chris Procter is an accomplished business leader with a proven track record of success in international markets. As the former Chief Executive Officer and shareholder of Sealite Pty Ltd, he oversaw the company’s expansion from a humble garage-based start-up to a world-renowned designer and manufacturer of marine and aviation navigation aids used by seaports, airports, and defence agencies worldwide.
Under Chris’s guidance, Sealite followed a comprehensive strategy of vertical integration, new product development, channel expansion, and targeted acquisitions that helped the company achieve sustained growth and market reach. In 2021, he led the successful sale of Sealite to SPX Corporation (NYSE:SPX), a Fortune 500 company based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Chris’s industry expertise and leadership skills extend beyond his role at Sealite. He is a former Vice-President of the Industrial Members Committee of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), a prestigious international organization responsible for formulating guidelines and recommendations on maritime navigation to ensure the safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability of vessel movements.
Currently, Chris is the lead proponent and landowner of the Mornington Peninsula Technology, Industry and Business Park, a major $405 million proposal that promises to create up to 1,100 jobs and generate over $800 million in economic value for the region and the Victorian economy.
A 2016 graduate of the Growth Modules program, Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Marketing.
