Harris Kmon Solutions

Harris Kmon Solutions company was established in the Northern Territory, with three directors providing project management, structural engineering and electrical engineering services.

Prior to joining the Business Acceleration Program in 2018, the company went through a growth phase, hired nine more permanent staff and expanded their offerings to include mechanical and defence project delivery services.

They had experienced strong initial growth before starting the program, but the directors wanted to make sure they built appropriate foundations to sustain the business into the future.

They needed guidance on where to go next and they realised they needed to take the time to discuss and clarify their direction, define their goals – and gain more clarity around the ‘bigger picture’. And they wanted to take their staff on the journey with them too.

The Business Acceleration Program allowed them to put together a growth plan for the company and then execute the plan.

One of their big learnings was the importance of spending time together to develop the mission, values, and vision for the company, and then bringing the team along with them on the journey, so that everyone was moving in the same direction.

The Harris Kmon Solutions team focussed on recruiting the right people, delivering for existing clients and making connections with new clients. They expanded to Geelong, Cairns and Townsville. The team made planning and budgeting for growth a priority.

In 2022, Harris Kmon Solutions won the prestigious NT Business Innovation Growth Award.
