CEO panellists
Emily Bradley, Co-CEO of Southern Design Group
Emily Bradley is Co-CEO of Southern Design Group, the design-focused company behind architectural hardware brands TradCo, Iver, and Bankston. In 2015, she and her partner Steve returned to Adelaide to join the family business, founded by her parents in 1982, leaving behind their careers in Melbourne. Under their leadership, the company has grown fivefold, expanded to nearly 100 staff across Australasia, and the USA, and now serves customers and design professionals globally. Southern Design Group’s brands span diverse styles and budgets—from heritage-inspired TradCo, to trend-led Iver, to Bankston, its luxury offering for architecturally driven spaces. In 2025, Bankston debuted at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, marking a milestone in its global growth. Emily is passionate about building strong, design-led brands and cultivating a progressive, strategy-driven business culture.
Michael Thornton, General Manager of Rendine Constructions
A mechanical engineer by trade, Michael worked in the automotive, agriculture and furniture making sectors before joining Rendine Constructions in 2007 where he initially was Project Manager before moving into his current role as General Manager. Michael leads a strong, proven, award-winning civil/construction team, while overseeing development and implementation of Rendine’s operational and strategic planning.
