NDE solutions was facing common scale-up challenges. There was misalignment within the leadership team as well as a strain on internal processes as headcount grew. Leaders also needed to formalise the business to prepare for future capital raising and expansion.
The executive team decided to sign up for the AUCBG’s Growth Modules to level up their thinking, get outside of the current operational bubble and ensure they weren’t building a company based on instinct alone, but one with solid foundations and a viable growth path.

The Growth Modules program helped NDE Solutions’ leaders adopt transformative concepts and principles. The primary one was clarity of purpose and mission, which involved separating NDE Solutions into two companies and redefining the missions for both. It was also vital for leaders to be working on the business and not in it, which meant moving from reactive problem-solving to intentional leadership and focusing on building systems, culture and long-term strategy.
Another step was “Right People, Right Seats” – re-evaluating the leadership team and building a hiring framework to ensure cultural and capability fit, instead of just assessing technical skill. A further critical mindset change was embracing customer-centric design thinking, which saw NDE Solutions began developing products with the customer, not just for them. This principle now guides NDE Solutions’ innovation cycle and product-market fit process.
Finally, NDE Solutions learned to make decisions driven by data. Regular dashboards, performance metrics and structured financial reporting gave leaders the confidence to make bold calls on investment, product roadmap and organisational design.
New concepts and principles informed new business processes post-program, with NDE Solutions introducing weekly executive team meetings, rolling out new performance review systems, building scalable internal systems for sales, HR, and product development, and developing a formal capital raising strategy.

The Outcome
Since attending the Growth Modules program NDE Solutions has enjoyed spectacular growth. The biggest move has been successfully transforming the technology division into a standalone company, now known as evoSonic. After securing funding and setting up manufacturing in Australia, evoSonic has expanded into the US with a dedicated team based in Houston, Texas.
evoSonic has already released two products to market, evoARC and arcDual, both of which have been adopted by leading customers. evoSonic is currently preparing for the next stage of growth which includes releasing their flagship evolutionOne & evoVision products, expanding in the US and executing the next capital raise.
For NDE Solutions, revenue has increased 100% to nearly $20 million. Several major new customers have been secured, including top-tier Oil & Gas, Defence and Space sector clients. The company has also expanded their office space to accommodate the new CEO and growing team and increased R&D capabilities.
This amazing progress has also been recognised through industry awards, including Santos Contractor of the Year, South Australia’s 40 Under 40 Award, and the Premier’s Award Commendation in Energy & Mining.
